The legend of Polish Counter-Strike and current G2 Esports coach, Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, played his debut match with the team, replacing the star sniper Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov. Previously, the organization announced that the team's sniper would miss the opening match due to visa issues. G2 Esports also shared information about who TaZ is on their Twitter page. All of this took place during the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.

Who is Taz? For the blind, He is the vision. For the hungry, He is the chef. For the thirsty, He is the water. If Taz thinks, I agree. It Taz speaks, I am listening. If Taz has am million fans, I am one of them.

If Taz has no fans, that means I am not longer on this earth. If the world is against Taz, I am against the world.

Unfortunately, for G2 Esports fans, they lost the match, but they did win the first map and had decent chances on the second.

  • 1. Spirit removed Inferno
  • 2. G2 removed Mirage
  • 3. Spirit picked Ancient (G2 Esports 13:8 Team Spirit)
  • 4. G2 picked Dust2 (Team Spirit 13:7 G2 Esports)
  • 5. Spirit removed Nuke
  • 6. G2 removed Vertigo
  • 7. Anubis was left over (Team Spirit 13:4 G2 Esports)

Despite this, TaZ didn't perform the worst and even outperformed his teammates statistically on two out of three maps, but his final statistics were worse than the others. Additionally, the Polish coach made a notable clutch play in the pistol round on the map Dust 2, securing three kills and winning a 1v1 situation against sh1ro when he had only 13hp.

Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas' statistics in the match against Team Spirit:

Wiktor ended the match with a KD statistic of 24-50. And his individual statistics on all maps look as follows:
