Results of the second day of The International 2024 Main Event
Notably, all matches yesterday ended with a 2:0 score, just like on the first day of the main event. Only a few teams put up significant resistance against their opponents. Despite their efforts, Cloud9 couldn't overcome Team Falcons and were eliminated from the tournament without winning a single map in The International 2024 Main Event.
The second match of the day was between Xtreme Gaming and Tundra Esports, which ended with the elimination of Ame and his team, leaving Chinese fans without a storyline to follow in the current tournament.
Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators faced off to determine who would be the first to reach the grand final. Team Liquid emerged victorious, defeating Gaimin Gladiators 2:0 and deservedly securing their place in the grand final.
In the last match of the day, it was uncertain who would emerge as the winner. On one side was Tundra Esports, who had been soundly beaten by Gaimin Gladiators, and on the other was Team Falcons, who had been inconsistent throughout the tournament. However, Tundra Esports quickly handled Falcons, eliminating them from the tournament and denying them the chance to win their second The International.
Lower Bracket:
- Team Falcons 2:0 Cloud9
- Tundra Esports 2:0 Xtreme Gaming
- Tundra Esports 2:0 Team Falcons
Upper Bracket:
- Team Liquid 2:0 Gaimin Gladiators
