In the upper bracket semifinals of VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo, there will be a showdown between Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid
On June 16th, the first two matches of the quarterfinals for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Masters Tokyo were held, determining the initial semifinalists in the upper bracket.
The day of competition kicked off with a showdown between LOUD and Evil Geniuses. The American team emerged victorious, securing a 2-0 win (13-7 on the Fracture map and 13-5 on the Ascent map).
The second match showcased Team Liquid facing off against EDward Gaming. Team Liquid claimed victory with a score of 2-1 (13-9 on the Haven map, 8-13 on the Split map, and 13-11 on the Lotus map).
As a result, LOUD and EDward Gaming have now moved to the first round of the lower bracket. Their match is scheduled for June 18th at 9:00 AM Kiev time.
The VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Masters Tokyo will continue from June 11th to June 25th, featuring a total of 12 teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000.
